(Marvin) This race in Belleville was blessed with really nice cool weather for June. Another race that starts going downhill, but very bottlenecked because it ran along a main road that was barricaded off. I ran a 5:26 on my first mile a PR for me. I was running strong till mile 2 and it felt like a switch flipped and I slowed down. I must of ran too fast in the first mile. Most of my races I have been feeling this way. I finished with 19:31, 2nd in age group, and 11th/102. My only regret is that we didn't make it back for the car wash.

Ya, the start of this race was pretty congested. We were all packed in pretty tight at the beginning. I (David) set a p.r. here 19:55. Too bad I came in fourth in my age group (30-39). I really don't like the big age groups. I was 18th/102. I made a mistake by running harder at the end thinking the finish was in one spot and then realizing too late that it was another tenth of a mile away. I was tired anyway and this just knocked me out. I probably wouldn't have made up much time anyway. The results of the race were done pretty quickly, a plus.
